The Chief

Q: When did you start your DJ/Presenting career and why ?
A: Already at a very young age I was almost obsessed with radio. Unlike television that leaves no room for imagination, radio triggers your imagination and fantasy. I think that I was 12yo when I decided I wanted to do 'something' in radio.

Q: How long are you a DJ/Presenter at RAM FM ?
A: I've been with the station, then known as RAM RADIO since the start in 2009. First as a presenter, not much later I took over the station and turned it into RAM FM Eighties Hit Radio.

Q: How did you find RAM FM ?
A: I was asked in 2008 if I was interested to help start up an internet radio (RAM RADIO) and I did...

Q: Why 80s music ?
A: I think the 80s has been a very good era for music, if not the best. I have been a DJ in a club in the mid 80s. Full house every Friday night with all the best of 80s music.

Q: Do you have a special song you like and want to share with us and why ?
A: That's a difficult question because I like loads... But if I have to pick one between many I'ld say "Tinseltown In The Rain" by Blue Nile from the album "A Walk Across The Rooftops" released in 1984.

Q: Is there any music you like besides 80s ?
A: I very much like the 60s Mersey Beat sound and also 70s Glam Rock.

Q: Do you want to share more about yourself or about the station ?
A: When I started RAM FM I had a vision about how I wanted the station to be. Creating a community (family) where listeners and presenters interact. Eighties music with the main hits but also the lesser known ones and album tracks. Thanks to all our volunteers and listeners for making the station into what it has become... The Best 80s Radio Station in the world!
